Gifts for Little Gophers

For over 30 years, the Student Parent HELP Center (SPHC) has supported low income, pregnant and parenting students with their Gifts for Little Gophers (GFLG) holiday assistance program.

GFLG focuses on undergraduate student parents who are predominantly single-income or relying on public assistance, as they face specific economic barriers and often struggle to access community-based assistance programs. This year, we’d like to expand our capacity to include graduate student parents facing unique circumstances and/or participating in our Basic Needs Assistance Grant program.

General

  • Gifts for Little Gophers (GFLG) operates through a convenient online registry where student wish lists are posted anonymously and gifts are shipped directly to recipients via the student-created vendor registry.
  • Donors can fulfill one or more wish lists.
  • Within each wish list will be embedded a registry link to the vendor that student has selected.
  • Donors select the wish list from the Roonga-hosted GFLG website, making sure to print off or save the list with embedded registry before logging off Roonga.
  • Donors use the registry link to purchase wish list items from the student’s selected vendor website and then select direct ship to the registry owner at checkout.
