Parents As Students Support (PASS) Group

The Parents As Students Support (PASS) group is a weekly meeting for undergraduate student parents to connect, develop support networks and build community. The format of these meetings is designed to meet the interests and needs of group members and may range from study skills, career planning, and financial aid to family finances, stress management, and child development. Meetings are facilitated by Na King Xiong, M.Ed Family Education and graduate social work interns. Some group meetings may feature speakers from the larger campus or metro community.

PASS group sessions are held on Wednesdays from 12 to 2 p.m. during the fall and spring academic terms in the main SPHC lounge in 24 Appleby Hall. Lunch is provided! Participants can come late or leave early according to the needs of their academic schedule. Partners and children are welcome to attend when accompanied by a registered SPHC student parent (please note that children must be supervised at all times). There is no additional pre-registration required for PASS group outside of the initial intake that all students must complete when they register with the broader SPHC program.
